Don't forget that FIRST robotics has a Lego League for younger students!
FIRST is an AMAZING program to get kids actually innovating robots alongside engineers and scientists. It's an amazing opportunity to learn about mechanical building, computer science, computer-assisted design, and plenty of other things you wouldn't expect either. The competitions are always built around teamwork in such a way that teams also need students to do marketing and advertising, decal design, and data collection. I was on a team in high school and LOVED it.
