I agree 100%. I've seen too many students left with worksheets and books to read and they never get to discover anything for themselves. I'm all about letting kids figure out the rules of the world (whether societal or scientific) through experimentation.

Perhaps I should have my husband take me to see this movie. Sounds good.

I love your take on Inception. The only thing I thought of after seeing the movie was "this is a combination of The Matrix, Vanilla Sky, and Ocean's Eleven" and I didn't give the message another thought. Maybe I wasn't in the right mind set when I saw it.
But truly what we do as teachers IS Inception...I mean without putting them to sleep, hehe.

I LOVE the feeling when a few students get that "Oh! I get it now!" look on their face. It makes all the struggling worth while. I always tell my students to "Stay in the Struggle" by (1) Ask Questions; (2) Make Meaning for Yourself; (3) Stay Engaged--Be a Learner. I promise them that if they stay in the struggle with me, then learning WILL happen.

I love the idea of inception and I need to see this movie...I hear it is a good one.
